These are the steps we will be taking when thunderstorms are forecast:
1. When lightning strikes are detected within 5 miles of the lido, the pools will be cleared immediately, or the session start time will be delayed.
2. An ‘all clear’ to re-enter the pool will be given 30 minutes after the last observed lightning or thunder.
2. We will not cancel sessions in advance as a result of any thunderstorm weather warnings. As we only need to take action if the storm is within 5 miles of the lido it is impossible for us to predict in advance.
3. We will end sessions early if a storm does not clear, so as not to cause disruption to later sessions. We will endeavour to ensure you get a reasonable amount of your designated of pool time for all sessions. If we are unable to do this, then refunds can be requested.
4. We will start sessions at a delayed time if the storm has cleared. If a session start time would result in less than half of the designated pool time then it will be cancelled.
Details of refund entitlement:
45-minute sessions: Refunds will be issued on request if you do not have more than 30 minutes of pool time.
60-minute sessions: Refunds will be issued on request if you do not have more than 45 minutes of pool time.
90-minute sessions: Refunds will be issued on request if you do not have more than 60 minutes of pool time.
If your session is cancelled completely, you will receive a full refund.
To claim a refund, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and include your name, session date and time and number of swimmers booked in.

From week commencing 1 November we switched off our boilers and introduced our Winter cold water swimming timetable – like last year we plan to maintain the pool above 12C and we will schedule swims for Thursday evening, Friday morning, Friday evening and Saturday morning. Cold Water sessions for all weeks until 26 February:
Thursdays - Lanes: 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm.
Fridays - Lanes: 7am, 8am, 9am, 10am; 5pm, 6pm, 7pm.
Saturdays - Lanes: 8am, 9am, 10am.
February swims will be on sale at 6pm on Monday 24th January

Cancellations and refund requests can be made to email@example.com no later than 72 hours prior to session start time. Transfers are possible subject to availability and no later than 72 hours prior to session start time.

Do you allow dogs on site?
Sorry, we do not allow any animals on site except guide dogs. We also do not allow unattended dogs to be left anywhere on our site. This includes in parked cars or tied to railings outside the lido or on the pontoon/riverside area.
How long can I stay once I have paid for entry?
As part of our COVID-19 control measures, you will have a fixed amount of pool time, after which you will be called from the pool. Depending on the session type and time, you will get either 45, 60 or 90 minutes of pool time. After your swim you are more than welcome to stay on site to use our cafe.
Can I leave and come back once I’ve paid?
Unfortunately, if customers leave the site then they will have to pay the admission price again to come back in.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
Customers are welcome to bring their own picnics but we do have a café on site which sells hot and cold food and drinks.
Am I allowed to bring my own inflatables or toys?
Customers are welcome to bring their own inflatables and toys, but we ask customers to check with lifeguards before taking them into the pool.
Do you have public lockers?
We have a number of lockers on site which take a returnable £1 coin.
What are the opening times of the café?
The café serves hot drinks, cold drinks, sweets and ice creams 8.00am-5.30pm daily.
The café serves hot food and snaks 9:30am-5:00pm daily.
Can I bring my own chairs and parasols?
Customers are welcome to bring their own seating and umbrellas as we only have a limited number on site.
Do you sell sun-cream?
Sun-cream is available to purchase from the kiosk (subject to availability), however we recommend that customers bring their own.
Do you sell swimwear?
Unfortunately, we do not sell swimwear but we do sell armbands, balls, inflatable rings and swimming goggles.
Can I pay by card?
For swimming, payment is by card through our online booking system. Cash payments are accepted at the cafe, as well as card and contactless.
We accept most major credit and debit cards as well as Apple Pay, we do not accept American Express.
Can I use flippers, snorkels and mono-fins?
Customers are welcome to use flippers, snorkels and mono-fins at the discretion of the manager. Please ask for permission before using them. The use of mermaid tails is not permitted.
Can I hire the pool for private functions?
The pool is currently unavailable for private hire after our public opening hours. If you would like more information or to book for 2022 then please email email@example.com
Can I wear a wetsuit?
Yes you can, but please wash them thoroughly before entering the water, particularly if you use the suit in the river or sea.
